Ranch Cheerios
Ingredients:
1 package ranch dressing mix (1 oz)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
6-7 cups cheerios
Optional: True Lemon, Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes
1. Whisk ranch dressing mix into oil in a small bowl or measuring cup.
2. Pour cheerios into a gallon-sized Ziplock bag. (A large container with a tight fitting lid will also work.) Pour in oil and dressing mix and seal bag.
3. Shake vigorously for several minutes.
4. Pour out onto cookie sheets covered with several thicknesses of paper towels. Allow to dry overnight. Mixture can be stored in airtight containers.
Optional: True lemon gives the cheerios a nice lemon zing without getting them soggy. If you are making this for adults the red pepper flakes are excellent. If you are making some of this for kids and some for adults, you can pour out 1/2 of the cheerios on one cookie sheet, add the pepper flakes to the bag, reseal and shake, and pour out the other half onto another cookie sheet.
This can also be done with Saltines.

I hadn’t thought about True Lemon. I bet that would be really good.

There aren’t many things that True Lemon doesn’t make better.
